Biography

Johan Nils Hallström is the son of director Lasse Hallström and the late Swedish TV producer Malou Hallström.

He has said that music was his passion when he was younger and by a happy mistake he got the chance to sing on stage and experience the rush of performing.
But after graduating high school he wasn't sure about what he wanted to do with his life - in 1996 he finally realized that performing was his destiny and applied at SET (Stockholm's Elementary Theatre School).
A year later he spent two years at Scenstudion.

At the age of 26, Johan got accepted to The State's School For Scenic Education, it took him four tries.

Today, Johan has been seen on both Swedish stage and in Swedish movies such as "You & Me" (OT: "Du & jag") and in the popular Swedish police series "Beck".
