 Exclusive Interview with Kevin DeCoste
"Tora was great to work with!"
In Lasse Hallström's new movie Hachiko: A Dog's Story, starring Richard Gere and Joan Allen, Lasse's and Lena's daughter Tora Hallström makes her screen debut at the side of up-and-coming young actor Kevin DeCoste (*1995).
In an exclusive interview with LENA OnLINe, Kevin talks about "Hachiko" and his experiences with Lasse and Tora.

Kevin: I first got into acting when my Aunt told us of an open audition for the movie "Dan in Real Life" which was filmed in Rhode Island.
My favorite thing about acting is the famous people I get to meet. Some of them include Dane Cook, Steve Carell, Cameron Diaz, James Marsden, Joan Allen, Richard Gere and of course Lasse Hallström.
My least favorite thing is the waiting around. Sometimes you can wait for hours to shoot a scene.
As for the directing, Lasse was excellent. I really enjoyed his style of directing. He also let me improvise which I love to do. The only Lasse directed movie I had seen was "Chocolat". I think that was an excellent movie.
"Hachiko: A Dog's Story" is based on a true story about an Akita named Hachiko who lived in Japan. I play Richard Gere's Grandson ("Ronnie") and Tora ("Heather") is my classmate in school. She was great to work with and I would enjoy working with her again.
